Last week, Safe House Project's CEO, Kristi Wells, had the privilege to partner with the United States Navy to train 5,000 of its sailors aboard the USS Roosevelt. As members of our armed services, these men and women are not only defenders abroad, but also at home. By helping them understand the sex trafficking epidemic in America, and educating them on the indicators they are able to protect the vulnerable in our communities.

How big is the problem?

• YOU COULD FILL 50 AIRCRAFT CARRIERS WITH THE NUMBER OF AMERICAN CHILDREN TRAFFICKED ON AMERICAN SOIL EACH YEAR

• A CHILD IS 42 TIMES MORE LIKELY TO BE TRAFFICKED FOR SEX THAN INJURED IN A GUN-RELATED INCIDENT
