City of Freedom is an honor earned by cities who are engaging in the fight against domestic trafficking. Through Mayoral Proclamations, leaders are empowering their community to take tangible steps to increase victim identification, and work to prevent trafficking of vulnerable individuals through education.

Furthermore, they support state initiatives to increase restorative care opportunities for survivors through residential emergency, long-term, and transitional programs. This ensures trafficking victims are provided a pathway to freedom--breaking the cycle of victimization.
